Olympic hero pictured smoking bong

Michael Phelps, the Olympic hero, was pictured smoking a bong. A bong is a glass pipe and are generally used to smoke cannabis.

It was on November 6, that 23 year old Phelps surprised students at the University Of South Carolina in Columbia by showing up unannounced at a house party.

The Olympic hero was visiting a friend Jordan Matthews.
According to a "source" of (newsoftheworld) Michael were visiting Jordan, but always ended up getting drunk every night.

So what.. if he has smoked a little cannabis, how many have not?
Should it now destroy his career just because some people have a pain in the ass that he has become something big, despite the fact that he has smoked a little cannabis.

Big deal.... Olympic hero pictured smoking bong

The newspaper that had the pictures of young Michael Phelps smoking bong, refused incentives not to publish Michael Phelps bong picture and went ahead. Everyone in the official Phelps camp refused to comment publicly on Phelps’ bong pictures.

Economic stimulus package 2009

The president revealed more details of his economic stimulus package 2009, which he said would add more than 3,000 miles of electric lines to transport alternative energy across the country. Obama's remarks came as he is lobbying for quick congressional passage of an $825 billion stimulus package to pump up the economy. Money Morning - Economic stimulus package 2009
Obama’s economic team will be faced with the grand task of restoring confidence to Americas stricken financial sector, and may have to wrestle the U.S. economy out of its worst downturn in decades. President-elect Obama made it clear that the first priority for he and his team will be to pass an economic stimulus package in 2009. [2]

President-elect Barack Obama yesterday (Monday) formally unveiled his economic team, including the nomination of New York Federal Reserve Bank President Timothy F. Geithner as the new administration’s U.S. Treasury secretary. The team’s first challenge will be assembling an economic stimulus package that could be even larger than the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) the Bush Administration has deployed. [3]

Economic Stimulus Tax Cut Package 2009 President Obama has proposed an economic stimulus tax cut package for 2009 which contain about $275 billion  worth of tax cuts to individual tax payers as well as businesses.  The idea behind this money is to promote  individual spending as well as business spending and job creation.  The large amount of the tax cuts is  partially due to the need to get Republican support for stimulus package. Global gag rule

The Mexico City Policy, also known as the Mexico City Gag Rule and the Global Gag Rule, is a United States government policy which requires all non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that receive federal funding to refrain from performing or promoting abortion services in other countries. The policy has become something of a political flashpoint in the abortion debate, with Republican administrations adopting it and Democratic administrations rescinding it. The policy was in place from 1984 through January 1993, was reinstituted in January 2001, and was rescinded in January 2009. [1]wikipedia.

The Huffington Post wrote:
I look forward to working in the new Congress with the Obama Administration to finally repeal the "Global Gag Rule," as we pledged in the Democratic National Platform during the campaign. Few actions would benefit more people with less effort, or send a more dramatic signal to the world that America is prepared once again to be a leader for individual rights, personal dignity, and commonsense policy that saves lives. The rule prohibiting federal aid for international family planning groups, called the "Mexico City policy," was announced by President Reagan during a 1984 population conference in that city. Critics call it the "global gag rule" because it discourages family planning groups from discussing abortion.
The policy has been alternately revoked and reinstituted, depending on the party controlling the White House.
President Clinton rescinded the policy on Jan. 22, 1993, two days after he was sworn in and on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. President Bush reimposed the rule eight years later, also on the anniversary of the court decision. [3] LA Times.

The policy that the president plans to end bans taxpayer money from going to international family planning groups. In addition to keeping money from groups that offer abortions or provide abortion counseling or referrals, the so-called "global gag rule" keeps money from going to groups that talk about abortion following unplanned pregnancies.

The policy has been implemented by Republican administrations and then ended by Democratic administrations since its establishment by Ronald Reagan in 1984. In related news, an anti-abortion rights group has enlisted the new president in an ad advocating their position, despite the fact that Mr. Obama doesn't agree with it. miss world brazil - Mariana Bridi da Costa

A 20-YEAR-OLD model who was a finalist to represent Brazil in the Miss World contest has had her hands and feet amputated after contracting a severe urinary infection, media reports said today.

Mariana Bridi da Costa was sedated in a hospital in Serra, in the southeastern state of Espirito Santo, and on artificial respiration following the procedures, according to several newspapers.

Bridi was diagnosed with a infection by the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterium, which can often prove fatal.

Septicemia set in in her limbs, cutting off circulation and forcing doctors to amputate.

Her boyfriend, Thiago Simoes, told the G1 news website that Bridi fell ill on December 30, but was initially misdiagnosed with kidney stones.

The infection quickly spread, causing her to go back to hospital for tests that revealed her condition. Surgeons had to act to remove her damaged hands and feet.

Her father, Agnaldo da Costa, told the Folha de S Paulonewspaper that "the concern is over her life".

Bridi twice made it into the national finals for the Miss World contest, and last year travelled to China to participate in the Miss Bikini International pageant, G1 said.
